Sydney and Robert did something a little less traditional for their wedding, but something that’s becoming more and more common… they did a private elopement-type ceremony on Friday with just family and closest friends and then followed that up on Saturday with a big celebration! Not only do you get to have the intimacy of a small ceremony, but you also take a lot of the stress out of it by splitting things up across two days. And their Ritchie Hill Celebration certainly was not lacking! They still had toasts that brought the crowd to tears, they still had amazing live music, and they still got all dressed up to take photos with their family (and even their dog Scout)!
We ADORE when couples bring in their own personal touches to the wedding day, and Sydney and Robert basically brought their entire college town with them. From the actual branded cups used at their favorite bar in Tuscaloosa to all of their guests singing the Alma Mater in unison during speeches, from legendary homemade apple butter (SO GOOD) as wedding favors to having a doughnut wall, we had such a great time celebrating along with this super fun couple.
